ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

The Philippines economy is projected to steadily progress in 2024 with a forecasted GDP growth of 5.9% according to the International Monetary Fund. Inflation is expected to ease to 3.8%, down from the average of 6% in 2023. This capability is made possible through the revival of the Economic Development Group (EDG) and the establishment of the Inter-Agency Committee on Inflation and Market Outlook (IAC-IMO). It is further supported by the enactment of consistent macroeconomic policies, notably the introduction of the Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTFF) and the ongoing execution of transformative structural reforms.
