Fredy was appointed as Trust Bank’s Chief Financial Officer in December 2020 and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services sector. In his role, Fredy is responsible for Trust Bank’s financial performance, including financial and regulatory reporting, treasury, tax, third party risk management and driving economic returns. He also leads all finance and accounting activities including the tracking of the bank’s cash flow and financial planning and provides strategic financial advice to the C-suite team.
Prior to his current role, Fredy held several global and country level roles at Standard Chartered, with his most recent being Standard Chartered Singapore’s Global Head of Finance for Functions: Risk, Compliance & Financial Crime Risk, COO, HR, Technology & Innovation. As Global Head of Finance for the various functions, his responsibilities include overseeing all aspects and directions with regards to financial management of the functions, the management control of costs, investments, operating budgets, cash flow, and financial activities at a global level. At Standard Chartered, he also developed several performance management frameworks and successfully established a subsidiary company in Standard Chartered Bank India called Standard Chartered Investments and Loans Ltd.
Fredy is a qualified Chartered Accountant (rank-holder), Chartered Secretary and Governance Professional, has a Master of Commerce from Bombay University as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics and Diploma in Financial & Business Journalism from the CTJT Institute, U.K.
