Speaker Bio:

Suraya, a seasoned Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience, has dedicated her career to the aviation industry. Beginning her journey with Malaysia Airlines in 1999, she currently serves as the Finance Director for Airlines Business, LTS and Corporate FBP, a role she assumed in October 2024.

Previously, Suraya held the pivotal position of Head of Group Reporting and Corporate Planning at Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG). Her extensive financial expertise has been instrumental in driving strategic initiatives across the group. From business restructuring, budgeting and financial modelling, aircraft purchase to M&A and inventory optimization, Suraya has successfully led various projects, implementing automation and process improvements while overseeing systems implementations.

Throughout her career, Suraya has held key leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer of Firefly and Head of Finance Operations. Her experience extends to the boardroom, where she has served as a director on the boards of several MAG subsidiaries.
