2024 概要

The role of the modern CFO (Chief Financial Officer) has evolved significantly, particularly in the wake of COVID-19. Today's CFOs extend beyond traditional financial oversight to become essential strategic leaders within their organizations. According to Deloitte’s 2023 CFO Survey, over 50% of Chinese CFOs highlighted national economic slowdown and supply chain disruptions as their top external and internal risk concerns. They are also increasingly aware of the importance of adopting technology to achieve their top two priorities - revenue growth and cost control. 35% of CFOs also state that their main focus for 2024 will be increasing cash flow.

Artificial Intelligence and Environment, Society & Governance initiatives are important considerations that are now considered to have fallen within the portfolio of the reinvented CFO’s role. CFOs are keen to explore the benefits of AI that include predictive capabilities which will significantly improve their FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and forecasting functions. ESG initiatives and climate reporting have also become especially important as the regulatory requirements increase year on year.
